As you read over the plan, keep in mind the issues and misleading details. This is what we noticed right away.

Pg. 1: Think about the change to the traffic flow by changing the parking lot/through way on the east end of project from one lane to 2. More congestion. Think about pedestrians sharing the bike/pedestrian throughway. Unsafe.

Pg. 3: We’ve been told there is plenty of parking for residents. The condos may have adequate parking, but 130 of the residences are given 1 parking space per unit. Parking closest to the tall residential buildings are designated for the commercial tenants yet touted as shared parking (residents use the spaces at night, customers in the day.) This implies no restaurants will be open past 5??? Makes you wonder? What about weekends when workers are not at work?

Pg. 4: The purpose of this table is to show that the developer listened and responded to residents who wanted this scaled back. Telling us that dropping the height from 7 levels to 5 levels when the actual decrease is from 79 ft to 70 ft is misleading. The drop from 8 buildings to 7 is not a decrease because another building was enlarged by the same amount. Dropping the parking garage from 4 levels to 2 levels may sound good at first. This means only one level of parking is covered in the winter . This garage appears to be use half the amount of land as the garage that was demolished. Do shoppers, workers, and residents really want to park their car on the top level in the cold, wind, snow and sleet? That is a significant.
